Bungalup is the kind of festival you go to with a group of friends and immerse yourself in the weirdness that can and will unfold. I was brought in to help build a strong creative programme full of entertaining, surprising and, most of all, silly ideas. I was lucky enough to work on the project for the festival’s last two editions.
Role: Creative programme curator & Producer
The main goal was to create as many interactive experiences as possible across the bungalow site. I wanted to make sure people wouldn’t disappear into their rented bungalows with their friends, but instead be drawn back into the festival and everything happening around them.

Once the different concepts had taken shape, the biggest challenge was finding the right people to bring them to life.
With a tight budget, I looked for creative groups of friends, makers and performers who saw an opportunity to build something fun together and get a free festival out of it.

From marrying your best friend for a day to wild safaris and getting sentenced to party jail, I worked closely with each group to turn my ideas with their input into reality. During the festival, I was the main point of contact, making sure all the different acts, installations and experiences were properly produced and brought to life.
